Kewanee Public Library to Close Until April 1st

Barbara Love, Director of the Kewanee Public Library called into WKEI’s Open Line program on Monday morning and announced that the Kewanee Public Library will be closing starting this afternoon, Monday, March 16th, at 4 Pm. According to Barbara Love the decision was made by Library staff and not by state mandate. The Kewanee Public Library will remain closed through the month of March with plans to re-open to the public on April 1st. That re-opening is contingent, of course, on how the ongoing issues related to COVID-19 play out. The Library is open for now on Monday, March 16th until 4 Pm, before it will close through the end of the month.
