The City of Kewanee has a Fire Truck for sale on the auction site EBay. According to a release from the City of Kewanee, Police Chief Nick Welgat, tells WKEI that the 1990 Spartan DS26-2042 chassis Fire Truck is now on the auction block. The vehicle has been out of service to the City of Kewanee for three years and is now being sold as excess. From the listing:
“Engine pumps, but the Change-over valve for pressure to volume is stuck and the upper hose reel is stuck.”
“It does run and drive, been parked 3 years, but started and run every 4-6 months. No Known issues when it was parked. Generator removed for use in another unit. This truck was retired and replaced with a new unit.”
