Bureau County Farm Bureau Helping Families

In early January, the Bureau County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee and Young Leader Committee donated 485 pounds of food and $754 to the Food Pantry in Princeton. This is in large part to the generous donations from the community. Seeing a need for kid related food, the committees launched a month-long food donation drop off at the Farm Bureau office in Princeton. Members of the community came in all month long to drop off their donations.

Feeling appreciative of all the community donations Farm Bureau completed the donation with a $500 check. Actual dollars donated generates 10 times the buying power when the food pantry purchases the food.

Thank you to all the members of the community and local businesses who dropped off donations during the month-long food drive. You certainly made an impact!

L-R: Beth Schultz, Women’s Committee member and Gracie Dale, Young Leader Chair helped unload the donation totaling 5 shopping carts overflowing!
