Twenty One Pilots ends Panic! at the Disco’s 76-week reign atop this ‘Billboard’ chart

For the past year-and-a-half — 76 weeks, to be exact — a Panic! at the Disco song has sat at number one on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart. Now, finally, Brendon Urie‘s rule is over.

The new Twenty One Pilots single “Level of Concern” has taken the number-one spot on Hot Rock Songs, making it the first non-Panic! song to lead the ranking since November 2018.

Of the 76 weeks Panic! reigned atop Hot Rock Songs, 65 were thanks to the record-breaking single “High Hopes.” The other 11 weeks saw “Hey Look Ma, I Made It” at number one.

“Level of Concern,” meanwhile, is the first new Twenty One Pilots song to follow the duo’s 2018 album, Trench. It was released earlier this month, and is accompanied by a video featuring footage of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun in quarantine.
