Rage Against the Machine, MCR postpone tour dates because of COVID-19

What was supposed to be the year of reunion tours has turned into the year of canceled and postponed dates due to the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Rage Against the Machine and My Chemical Romance, two of the biggest names embarking on reunion tours in 2020, have pushed back a number of their upcoming shows.

The “Killing in the Name” rockers have postponed the first leg of their U.S. tour, running from March 26 in El Paso, Texas, to May 20 in Chicago. That includes their headlining sets at Coachella, which was previously postponed to October.

“The safety and health of those who come to our shows is of the utmost importance to us all,” Rage writes in a statement. The group’s shows in July and August are currently still on as scheduled.

MCR, meanwhile, has postponed their upcoming shows in Australia and New Zealand, set to take place next week. They previously announced that they’re pushing back their March dates in Japan.
