New Deftones album is “basically done,” according to keyboardist/turntablist

We’re getting closer and closer to a new Deftones album hitting your ears.

Keyboardist and turntablist Frank Delgado tells Australia’s Forté magazine that the follow-up to 2016’s Gore is “basically done.”

“I think we need to tie up a few things here and there to fix it,” Delgado says. “But I think that’s coming in the real near future — I know it is.”

Deftones recently revealed that they’re bringing back producer Terry Date to work with them on the new album. Date produced the first four Deftones records, including 2000’s beloved White Pony.

Deftones will be on tour this summer with support from Gojira and Poppy.
