Muse‘s Matt Bellamy, Blur‘s Graham Coxon and Miles Kane of The Last Shadow Puppets have teamed up to release their debut single as a band called The Jaded Hearts Club.
The track is a cover of the ’60s Isley Brothers song “Nobody but Me,” which was made famous by The Human Beinz — you know, that song with all the “Nos” in it.
The Jaded Hearts Club, which at one time was called Dr. Pepper’s Jaded Hearts Club Band, has been playing one-off shows since 2017. The lineup has varied over the years, though Bellamy has remained a constant. Others who’ve jammed with the Jaded Hearts include members of Nine Inch Nails, Jet and The Zutons.
In 2018, Bellamy and the Jaded Hearts performed the Beatles classic “Helter Skelter” alongside Sir Paul McCartney himself. The band’s name, of course, is a play on the title of the iconic 1967 Beatles album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
