Listen to Dashboard Confessional cover Post Malone’s “Circles”

If your genre of choice is “alternative acts covering Post Malone,” then it sure has been a banner month for you.

A few weeks back, Of Monsters and Men released a cover of Posty’s number-one hit single, “Circles,” and now Dashboard Confessional has taken a stab at the same tune.

Chris Carrabba‘s band recorded their take on “Circles” earlier this year at the famed Electric Lady Studios in New York City for the Spotify Singles series. While there, the group also recorded a new version of the 2000 Dashboard song “Screaming Infidelities.”

“We stopped by the iconic Electric Lady studios during the NYC dates of the DC20 tour,” Carrabba says. “The amazing energy in the room led us to creating an exciting, new and very different version of ‘Screaming Infidelities’ and a cover of Post Malone’s ‘Circles.’ I hope you love them as much as we loved making them.”

Is Dashboard’s cover of “Circles” “Hands Down” the best version of the song? You can listen for yourself now on Spotify.

Meanwhile, if you’re interested in hearing Post Malone cover rock songs, the “Take What You Want” rapper held a Nirvana tribute live stream last week. The charity performance, which featured Blink-182‘s Travis Barker on drums, has so far over $4 million for The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization.
