Highly Suspect hosts a contentious family dinner in “These Days” video

Highly Suspect has debuted the video for “These Days,” the current single off the band’s latest album, MCID.

The clip, which premiered on TheFader.com, finds a family arguing over politics at the dinner table. Eventually, all the yelling leads to a food fight, which then leads to physical violence, which finally leads to gunshots and even a crossbow.

Starring in the video is actor Tony Cavalero, who played Ozzy Osbourne in the Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt.

“We are, and for as long as I can remember, difficult to really collaborate with,” HS frontman Johnny Stevens tells The Fader. “Not because I’m a snob but maybe more so out of fear…that somehow all of the hard work I put in will get bent into a shape I don’t find aesthetically pleasing.”

“When you find someone with as much passion as you, sometimes it’s worth giving it a shot,” he adds. “This time that man was Tony Cavalero. It’s a shiny little distraction from how much these days really suck.”

MCID, which also includes the lead single “16,” was released last November. It features guest spots from GojiraConor Mason of Nothing But Thieves, and rappers Young Thug and Tee Grizzley.
