Hayley Williams completes ‘Petals for Armor II’ EP with latest solo song, “Dead Horse”

Hayley Williams has released her second solo EP, Petals for Armor II.

The five-song collection includes the four tunes the Paramore frontwoman has debuted following the release of Petals for Armor I in February — “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris,” “Over Yet,” “My Friend,” and “Why We Ever” — plus one more brand-new track, “Dead Horse.”

“PFA ll is the perfect interlude between where Petals began and where it’s going…Part lll isn’t far behind,” Williams says. “I needed these songs to help me get to a place where I could name my shame, take inventory of emotional scars, true friends, awful coping mechanisms, and discover what I desire for my life.”

You can download Petals for Armor II now via digital outlets. The whole Petals for Armor album, Williams’ debut solo full-length offering, is due out May 8.

Meanwhile, as you might’ve expected/feared, Williams’ scheduled debut solo tour, set to kick off in May, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. An announcement about rescheduled dates is forthcoming.
