Hayley Williams announces debut solo tour

Hayley Williams is hitting the road on her own for the first time.

The Paramore frontwoman has announced her debut solo tour in support of her forthcoming debut solo album, Petals for Armor. Following a brief run through Europe in mid-May, the North American leg will kick off May 28 in Seattle, and concludes June 29 with a hometown show in Nashville.

“Wow. I am going on tour. Myself,” Williams says in a statement. “It’s not Paramore and truthfully, it’s just a little terrifying. But if I know anything, it’s that there’s no safer place (besides at home with my dog) than to be in a room, on a stage, in front of the people who I’ve grown up singing my lungs out for.”

“There was a time I thought I wouldn’t tour Petals For Armor,” she continues. “What a joke. I must. This is a brand new adventure. It’s important to embark on something new every now and then just to show yourself that you can. I welcome the discomfort and the joy and I’m ready to be present for this.”

If you pre-order Petals for Armor via Williams’ website before this Sunday, March 8 at 10 p.m. local time, you’ll have access to a pre-sale for tickets beginning Tuesday, March 10 at 10 a.m. local time. You can also register for pre-sale tickets via Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m. local time.
