Bastille frontman Dan Smith is recording with hit-making DJ and producer Martin Garrix.
Garrix revealed the news in a video posted to his Instagram Story, featuring him in the studio with the “Pompeii” singer.
“Straight back in the studiooo,” the caption reads.
There’s no word yet on what the collaboration is for or when we’ll get to hear it, but Smith does have a good track record when it comes to collaborations with big-name DJs. You may recall that Bastille scored a massive hit thanks to their collaboration with Marshmello, “Happier.”
Garrix, meanwhile, previously teamed up with Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda for the 2018 track “Waiting for Tomorrow,” and Fall Out Boy‘s Patrick Stump for the Macklemore-featuring 2019 single “Summer Days.”
In other Bastille-related news, Smith and company have premiered a live video for “Bad Decisions,” a track from the group’s latest album, 2019’s Doom Days.
The clip, streaming now on YouTube, features a guest verse from Daniel Armbruster of Joywave, who opened for Bastille’s U.S. tour last fall. In between the performance footage, we also get a few snippets of the two Dans bantering together on stage.
