The 2020 Cruel World festival in Los Angeles has been postponed.
In a statement, festival organizers say the event, which is its first year, is being moved due to “recent circumstances,” presumably referring to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The inaugural event, which featured a lineup heavy on acts from the late ’70s and ’80s alternative scene, was originally scheduled for May 2. It will now take place on September 12.
Among the artists on the Cruel World lineup are Morrissey, Blondie, Devo, The Psychedelic Furs, Echo & the Bunnymen, Violent Femmes, Bauhaus, Public Image Ltd., and Gary Numan.
