(Kewanee) Regional Media announces that Kewanee Illinois will be home to a new radio format, Jack FM debuting on 102.1 today!
Jack FM Kewanee is defined by wide-ranging playlists and unusual combinations of songs from different genres and eras and has been likened to an iPod set on shuffle.
Jack FM 102.1 Kewanee is a very different kind of radio station. We don’t have DJs, we don’t take requests and we play what we want. Which, by the way, is music ranging from the late 70’s all the way to last week. Songs from Vanilla Ice’s Ice Ice Baby to Charlie Daniels The Devil Went Down To Georgia. We also don’t really care much for the useless talk (unless, of course, it’s something important enough to stop the music for). Mostly we just care about playing a bunch of songs in a row and having a good time.
“It’s exciting to finally give Jack a home in Henry County. It’s a very popular format across the country and to have the opportunity to add this to our lineup of stations in Kewanee is absolutely fantastic,” said Regional Media CEO Fletcher Ford.
Regional Media has had an enormous amount of people reach out to say they wish the format was here, and not on one of our stations in the adjacent market.
Here’s what Regional Media’s COO Darren Brown had to say about the launch of Jack FM 102.1. “When the opportunity of launching the Jack FM format in Kewanee for all of Henry County to listen to, it was a no brainer and very exciting. The community is going to absolutely love it!”
Jack FM 102.1 Kewanee can be heard in Henry County Illinois on 102.1 FM.
