WIU Dance Faculty Member traveling to watch Student’s Summer Performances

WIU Dance Instructor, Donald Laney, has been traveling the midwest all summer long to attend WIU students summer performances. Laney started his summer in West Virginia Governor’s School for the Arts teaching a summer program. He began seeing his WIU dance students performing during the summer and decided to pack the car and attend the performance for moral support.

Donald Laney said “We had three groups of students in Ohio, so they were easy to plan to see. When I finished teaching, I had planned to drive to Missouri, North and South Dakota and Iowa to catch six more shows, and now I am planning on heading to the Chicago area and Michigan to see the final three on my way back to North Carolina for a few weeks.”
